1. Information researched is accurate, complete, and in paragraph form.
(ex. The predator lives in the biome being researched.)
2. All paragraphs and captions are written in students own words. (That means all words can be pronounced and understood by the student- not plagiarized/copied.)
3. Resources are properly cited - both books and web resources (www.google.com is not a valid source!)
4. The page has a title.

Techcnical
1. All links work properly.
2. All links go to web sites, not search engines.
(ex. A picture of an elephant cannot be linked to " "www.google.com". )
3. Captions for pictures are short and concise.

Graphics
1. Graphics complement and enhance content of wikispace rather than distract the reader.
2. Images are appropriate for what was required. (ex. terrestrial herbivores = land plant eaters
predator = animal that eats meat as part or all of its diet.)
3. Pictures are in the right places.
4. The climate graph is neat, accurate, and well described.
5. The map is accurate.

Layout/Design
1. Visual appearance is pleasing to the eye
2. Text and graphics are of appropriate size.
3. Background color is appropriate for web site.
4. Text and graphics are clearly visible.

Mechanics
1. Correct grammar - spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.
2. Paragraphs flow with transitional sentences and are actually paragraphs, not informational sentences or sentence fragments.
3. Vocabulary is appropriate for 4th graders.
4. Site needs no further editing and is virtually free of any grammar mistakes.
